I think what may be missing is a shadow behind the hand, it seems to be floating there. A shadow would anchor it. They eyeballs could use a little highlighting as well, they seem a little flat. Great concept on this one! :)

I think it's interesting, but there's a real lack of contrast (even with the whites of the eye) that make it kind of "Blah." The background doesn't help with making the hands and eyes stand out, either, because it's so similar to the subject in texture and color.

&... that's all I have to say.
